Ratings vs safety reports

Ratings wait 24 hours. Safety, SafeSport, abuse, and threat reports do not. File those immediately — they are not ratings, they never go into the comment stream, and one low score does not trigger a hold. Accounts are for adults. We route reports to the league; we do not adjudicate.

• Ratings are game-feedback scores (punctuality, communication, control). They wait 24 hours so the heat of the moment cools off, then stay open 48 hours.
• Safety, SafeSport, abuse, and threat reports are not ratings. File them immediately. Do not wait 24 hours.
• Incident text never appears in the rating comment stream.
• One low score does not punish anyone. Eligibility holds need a human assignor or league admin.
• TopRefHub intakes the report and notifies the league admin and the league’s designated safety contact (if one is on file). We do not adjudicate. We are not the employer and not a SafeSport investigator.

A low rating never auto-punishes. An eligibility hold that freezes one official’s auto-assign needs a human assignor or admin.
